SK8FACE is a feature documentary about the history and evolution of skateboard art and culture.
This is the only film ever made about the history of skateboard art because you have to be crazy to try and do something like this! After a decade of filming SK8FACE is FINALLY DONE!
We have tracked down and interviewed over 60 legendary skateboard artists, such as Wes Humpston, Jim Phillips, Sean Cliver, Marc Mckee, Shepard Fairey, and Mark Gonzales and some who have NEVER before given interviews, including Neil Blender, and Vernon Courtland Johnson.
We have filmed 30 art and museum shows all over the world featuring skateboard art, from The Smithsonian in Washington DC, to the La Gaite Lyrique in Paris and the MOCA in Los Angeles.
We have collected massive amounts of archival footage and photos, shot tons of 16mm film to give it that vintage look and feel, and filmed thousands of skateboards!
This project is 100% DIY
